Get ready for a fast-paced game where anyone can win, no chance involved! Last bidder wins! Be the last one to bid, and choose either a ten-day stay in Paris or Ski Week in Tahoe as your prize. Alternate prize will be auctioned off.
Here’s how the game works:
1a. CHRISTMAS (OR SUMMER!) IN PARIS
Who wouldn’t want a chance to enjoy the most romantic city in the world? Spend ten days in a charming two-bedroom apartment located in the 17th arrondissement, seeing what it means to live in an authentic French neighborhood. Furnished in a cozy and relaxed style, this 75-square meter apartment has been recently remodeled with rooms that face a quiet courtyard. Start your day off with a visit to the local baker for some fresh croissants, shop for groceries at the organic market, then sip a café au lait as you people watch. Head to one of the many signature French bistros in the area for dinner and see why some Parisians never leave their neighborhood!
Get the best of both worlds—the quiet life and the big city lights—as your nearest metro stop is around the corner, and can take you anywhere you want to go. Walk to the Opera and l’Arc de Triomphe for some irresistible eye candy; check out the iconic Tour Eiffel, Champs Elysees, and Parc Monceau, and visit all the areas that have made this one of the most beloved cities in the world. Spend your end-of-the-year holidays in Paris for a romantic Christmas vacation, or visit in the summer when the birds are singing and the gardens are in bloom… your choice! 1b. SPEND SKI WEEK IN SQUAW VALLEY
Score big points with the family as you enjoy a one-week stay for four in this well-appointed, one-bedroom Squaw Peak condo, just a short walk to the “Funitel” and minutes from Squaw Valley’s 4,000+ acres of winter sports terrain. 4. AFRICAN DELIGHT: DINNER FOR TEN
Entice your senses as you enter the rich, spiced cosmos of a Senegaleseand Kenyan feast. You’ll be treated like royalty as you enjoy a beautiful, family-style meal in the newly renovated home of Aaron and Stephanie Ross. Get ready for bold flavors and signature dishes—the national Senegalese fish dish of thieboudienne, all-time favorite chicken yassa, and maafe, a delicious stew—that will make you keep coming back for more. Fragrant spices and vibrant colors will make this an Instagram-worthy meal. A riveting drum and dance show to entertain the eyes and ears will precede dinner, whetting your appetite for what’s to come. With ten companions joining you, this is sure to be a night of delights!

5. A WEEKEND ESCAPE IN SAINT HELENA
Spend the perfect weekend in the charming town of Saint Helena in the heart of the Napa Valley. The Kirby family’s two-bedroom, two-bathroom bungalow has a private feel, but is walking distance to St. Helena’s picturesque main street, with its wide variety of excellent restaurants, welcoming galleries, and eminently browsable shops. Take advantage of the beautiful outdoors and try biking, hiking or a round of golf… or get adventurous with a hot air balloon ride! Visit some of Napa’s famed wineries for an enticing afternoon treat or bring the kids out to see Old Faithful Geyser in Calistoga and feed the goats. You’ll be perfectly positioned to discover (or rediscover!) all that Napa has to offer.
You will also enjoy a full day of complementary access to the renowned Meadowood Resort, including a hearty collection of amenities such as golf, tennis, croquet, swimming, fitness and spa. Head north for a weekend full of fun and quality family time, just a short drive away!

6. PERSIAN AND AFGHAN DINNER FOR EIGHT
Prepare to be transported on an intoxicating journey across the ocean to a distant land. The aroma of cumin, saffron, cardamom, and turmeric will tantalize your senses, hinting at the exquisite spread of Afghan and Persian food you will enjoy at the Misaghi residence. Served in multiple courses, your meal will take you on a journey down the Silk Road, from Tehran to Kabul.
Take a caravan into traditional Persian and Afghan delights as you savor Persian style chicken with saffron and currants and authentically baked saffron rice; a popular lamb stew, served with challow, cumin-infused Afghan rice; fresh naan and slow-cooked daal; and a delicious yogurt starter with mint and cucumber. Your taste buds will sing out and your eyes and ears will rejoice as you are entertained with Afghan and Persian music and dance performances. 7. DINNER WITH THE FRENCH CONSUL GENERAL
Wine and dine with the newly appointed Consul General of France, Emmanuel Lebrun-Damiens in the official French residence. Set in a beautiful location—on a hillside in the Parnassus Heights neighborhood of San Francisco—the house features a spectacular view of the city and its surroundings. Built in 1902 by the architect T. Patterson Ross, this house has been the official residence of the Consul General of France in San Francisco since early 2014. Enjoy the house and a truly unforgettable gourmet French meal, crafted by Chef Emmanuel Poulard. With great food, wonderful wine, and fabulous conversation, you will appreciate every minute of your sophisticated evening with the Consul General of France.

8. LA VIE EN ROSE: A WEEK IN PARIS

9. ‘WINEMAKER OF THE YEAR’ DINNER FOR EIGHT
Be voted “best friend of the year” as you choose seven lucky friends for a special evening with the San Francisco Chronicle’s Winemaker of the Year, Michael Cruse. Michael will pour a selection of sparkling and still wines from his personal library, including the highly sought after Ultramarine Blanc de Blancs—“the sparkling wine that no one can get.” Spend the evening relaxing over a perfectly paired multi-course meal in the Piedmont home of fellow EB parents Jaime Araujo and Stéphane Bezian. Be sure to bring your curiosity as you discuss the craftsmanship involved in making these uniquely Californian wines with an expert. This will be a night to remember with fabulous wines and sure to be excellent conversation!

10. FIVE NIGHTS IN THE BIG APPLE
The city that never sleeps is calling you! Spend five nights in the Rahimians’ beautiful three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment, two blocks from Central Park. Explore all that New York City has to offer, the same way locals do: on foot and via the subway. Your home-away-from home is walking-distance to Times Square, the MOMA, Columbus Circle, and so much more. Take in a show on Broadway, grab a hot dog from one of the iconic street carts, shop on Madison Avenue or head out to see Lady Liberty as you experience the whirlwind that is New York.
Your busy days will be rewarded with relaxing nights in this beautiful space; spend some time in the sitting room off the kitchen, which boasts million-dollar views. 11. HEAD FOR A DAY
Give your child the chance to “rule the school” as they step into the Head of School’s shoes! Your son or daughter will be the envy of all their classmates as they accompany Head of School Dominique Velociter on her daily routine and see what it means to be in charge. The VIP treatment starts even before school does: Mme. Velociter will personally welcome your child at reception at 8 am! Once there, they’ll start the day off by greeting arriving students and parents at the front gate. Next, it’s off to an inspection of both campuses, followed by the important job of reviewing the day’s schedule with the Head’s assistants.
The fun continues as they visit classrooms with their official decree and then it’s back to business with a meeting with the Lower School Head. After all this hard work, they’ll need to recharge with a special lunch with the administrators. They’ll get to draft a special article for the Gazette (with their photo of course!), post an article on the website, and send a memo to the teachers, from Dominique’s desk!
Finally, after a special treat for their class, it’s back to the gate to say goodbye and à bientôt! Your little administrator will have a day they won’t soon forget!

12. ¡VIVA MEXICO! DINNER FOR TWELVE
Travel across the border and experience authentic Mexican cuisine without leaving the bay! Stephanie and Zack Walton will be your hosts as you and eleven friends enjoy a night con mucho sabor! As soon as you walk through the door, you’ll be greeted by the delicious aroma of barbacoa and carnitas that have been slow-cooking for hours. These are the stars of your meal, which will be entirely and lovingly made by hand, using the freshest ingredients available. Fresh tortillas, rich guacamole, spicy salsa, and more will round out a delicious meal that you won’t soon forget! No Mexican fiesta is complete without the serenade of mariachi music… your event will be no exception! With such lively music, food, and conversation, this is sure to be one of the best nights of your year!

15. BEATLES PIANO BAR EXTRAVAGANZA
The most influential group in music history is making its way to your hometown at the Beatles Extravaganza! Hosted by Aaron and Stephanie Ross, this rocking party will begin with several performances to get you in the mood. Then, it’s the piano bar in full effect: request a song from your maestro, and prepare to be transported back to “Yesterday.” Test out your vocal chops as you sing along with the words provided if you so choose, and enjoy the performance by several special guest musicians!
Little bites and drinks will keep you going late into the night. Come dressed in your hottest mod attire, or go later Beatles with a 70’s inspired get-up! Either way, dress to impress as you “Come Together” for a night of music and merriment that you’ll want to repeat “Eight Days a Week”!
